This course is an excellent opportunity for medical professionals and scientists who wish to be trained in pediatric oncology at the advanced level. Moreover, the Master Course will enable you to build your own international network and meet experts in the field.
The Master Course is organized by the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology (Utrecht, The Netherlands). It consists of four modules which can be followed over the course of 2 years: General aspects, Hemato-oncology, Neuro-oncology and Solid tumors.
All educational sessions are given by national and international experts in the field. The Master Course is held every two years. Therefore, if you are not able to follow all the modules in sequence, you can still complete the Master Course by attending modules of the next edition. All participants receive a certificate of attendance after completing a module and an overall certificate after completing all modules.
Each module consists of two live days accompanied by a comprehensive online pre- and post-program covering key concepts that can be followed in a self-paced manner. During the live days, topics are explored in greater depth during hands-on sessions such as tumor boards, workshops, escape rooms and expert sessions. Challenges when working in low-resource settings will be explored and tackled in several parallel sessions. Participants will be trained to apply knowledge in clinical practice. In addition, preclinical and translational research will be covered as well. We advise to attend all four modules, but it is possible to register for selected modules as well. An application has been made to the UEMS EACCME® for CME accreditation of this event.
The live days will be held at the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht. These can also be followed online.
Registration fee for each Module is € 550 for live participation and € 395 for online participation. This is including the online pre- and post-program. For live participation, the fee also includes catering and the evening program on the first course day. For participants from low and middle income countries, there is a custom fee namely € 295 for live participation and € 150 for online participation.
