Outreach: Leukemia patient Hazel in the Dr Sardjito Hospital in Indonesia

Via our Outreach programme, Princess Máxima Center's professionals share their knowledge with colleagues in third world countries, with the purpose to increase the survival rate in childhood cancer.
One of the partners we collaborate closely with, is a hospital in Indonesia. In this video we follow 9-year-old Hazel, who has leukemia, and his mother. We want to demonstrate how important it is to properly inform parents. Moreover we want to emphasize the essence of international collaboration in the field of research, and how this benefits patients in the Netherlands.

This video is part of a particular series of publications between World Cancer Day and International Childhood Cancer Day, a period in which we especially focus on different aspects of our center.
